Algunos trabajitos viejos • Some old projects!

No puedo creer la cantidad de proyectos que he hecho y que no he compartido.  Sé que no necesito compartirlo todo LOL! ...pero personalmente me gusta pues me ayuda a tener un tipo de registro o record de mis trabajos através del blog. En los pasados días he estado buscando fotos para completar un album y he tenido que buscar en mis archivos de fotos por los pasados 10 años y he encontrado ¡tantos y tantos proyectos! Así que hoy quiero mostrarle algunos de ellos. Muchos no podré compartirlos por que la calidad de las fotos no es muy buena que digamos y honestamente no creo que sirvan para compartir.

Algunos han sido proyectos para clases, para make & takes o para publicaciones como el caso del layout de mi gatita Maya que fué diseñado especialmente para una edición de mascotas de la desaparecida revista Papeles y más. Al igual la tarjeta de cumpleaños con la fairy de Some Odd Girl que para mi emoción y sorpresa estuvo en la portada de la misma revista.

I can't believe how many projects I've done and that I have not shared. I know, I don't need to share everything LOL! ...but I personally like it because it helps me to have some kind of record of my work through the blog. In the past few days I have been looking for photos to complete an album and I have had to search in my photo files for the past 10 years and I have found so many projects worth sharing! So today I want to show you some of them. Many I will not be able to share them because the quality of the photos is not very good.

Some of the next projects were designed for classes, make & takes or for publications such as my cat Maya's layout that was designed for a pet issue of a former puertorrican magazine called "Papeles y más". Same with the birthday card with the Some Odd Girl image. That one was also designed for the same magazine and for my excitement and surprise was on the cover of one of their editions.

¡Otra para el reto! • Another one for the challenge!

¡Hola, hola! Otra semanita más que llega a su final y ya ready para el weekend. Quiero mostrarles esta tarjetita con otra imágen de Some Odd Girl que preparé para el último día del "12 Days of Coloring Challenge".  La imágen digital se llama "Rainbow Fairy" y ¡me encanta!. Es la primera vez que la coloreo y fué realmente un reto. Sobre todo los rayos del arcoiris. La tarjeta irá a manos de una buena amiga que quiero mucho y que prontamente se muda de la isla a vivir una nueva aventura. ¡Espero le guste!

Hello, hello! Another week that comes to an end and I'm so ready for the weekend! I want to share with you this card with another Some Odd Girl image that I prepared for the last day of the "12 Days of Coloring Challenge". It's a digi stamp called "Rainbow Fairy" and I love it! It's the first time I colored it and it was really a challenge. Especially the rays of the rainbow. The card will go to a good friend who I love very much and who will soon move from the island to live a new adventure. I hope she likes it!

Más Some Odd Girls • More Some Odd Girls

Hola!!! Ya casi termina la semana y aún continuo participando del reto de Some Odd Girls - "12 Days of  Coloring". Me ha mantenido ocupada y me encanta. Habia dejado de prácticar con mis marcadores y la verdad es que se va perdiendo la técnica. Ya poco a poco he vuelto a mejorar y ahora estoy más entusiasmada en probar nuevas técnicas y colores. Ya les iré mostrando.

Estas dós imagenes son mis entradas para el día 10 y 11 del reto.  No estoy muy contenta con el cabello de la sirena pues sin querer mezclé los tonos de los marcadores y ufff fué muy tarde para corregir el color. Así que no muy contenta pero si me encantó el resultado con la cola ¡Espero les guste!

Hello!!! The week is almost over and I am still participating in the challenge - "12 Days of Coloring" at Some Odd Girls facebook page. It has kept me busy and I love it. I had stopped practicing with my markers and the truth is that the technique is lost. Little by little I have improved again and now I am more excited to try new techniques and colors. I'll show you! 

These two images are my entries for day 10 and 11 of the challenge. I'm not happy with the mermaid's hair because I accidentally mixed the tones of the markers and it was too late to correct the color. Not a happy camper... but I loved the result with the tail!  I hope you like it!

¡Hola! ¡Espero que hayan disfrutado de su fin de semana! Yo celebré el National Scrapbooking Day el pasado sábado tomando una clase con mis amiguitas del hobby. Siempre la pasamos bien haciendo lo que nos gusta además de que pasamos un ratito súper agradable entre amigas. Ayer domingo me dediqué a colorear esta hermosa sirenita "Bubbles" de Some Odd Girl para continuar con el "12 Days of Coloring Challenge". Es la primera vez que intento colorear un cabello rojo y creo que no me fué tan mal.  Necesito conseguir algunos marcadores adicionales en esas tonalidades para lograr un mejor efecto. Quisiera que se viera un poco más real el color. Ya veremos. ¡Aún así me encantó el resultado final!

Hello! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I celebrated National Scrapbooking Day last Saturday by attending to a mini album class with my hobby friends. We always enjoy doing what we love, as well as having a great time with friends. Yesterday I colored this beautiful Bubbles Mermaid digistamp  from Some Odd Girl to continue with the "12 Days of Coloring Challenge". It is the first time I try to color a red hair and I think it was not so bad!  I need to get some additional markers in those tones to achieve a better effect. I would like to get a more natural redhead look! But I loved the final result anyway!

Y esta es mi hada para el día #7 del reto de color. Es la "Forest Friend Fairy". Como ven me encantan los colores brillantes y alegres. Con ella practiqué el colorearle labios para hacerla un poco más femenina. Espero poder crear una tarjetita con ella muy pronto.

And this one is my #7 day image for the 12 Days of Coloring Challenge. She is the "Forest Friend Fairy".  As you can see I love bright and happy colors!! I also tried coloring lips to make her look more girly! I hope to create a nice card with her soon!

Hice esta tarjetita sencilla con la imagén de Kaylee coloreada nuevamente con marcadores Copic. Hello! I'm ready for the weekend and to rest a little.  I just wanted to share the card I made for the day # 4 of the "Coloring Challenge" of the Some Odd Girl facebook page. I made this simple card with the image of Kaylee colored again with Copic markers. I just love her!!! As you may notice I LOVE fantasy characters!  I'm also sharing another card that I had done some time ago and had forgotten to share. I hope you like them!! Enjoy your weekend!!

¡Extrañe mis marcadores! • Missed my markers!

El martes tuve el día libre... y mientras navegaba por facebook encontré un reto de una de las compañias que adoro por sus sellos hermosos, Some Odd Girl. El reto para colorear imágenes comenzaba ese mismo día así que dije... ¡es tiempo de volver a colorear! Habia abandonado la tarjeteria desde hace algún tiempo. Quizás por falta de tiempo o sencillamente por que me entretuve más en proyectos de scrapbook. Solo llegué a crear tarjetas sencillas para las clases. Así que puse manos a la obra y estas son las tres imágenes que he coloreado con marcadores Copic hasta hoy, tercer día del reto.

Last tuesday I had the day off... and while checking on facebook I found a challenge from one of the companies that I love for its beautiful stamps, Some Odd Girl. The coloring challenge started that same day so I thought... it's time to go back to coloring! I had abandoned cardmaking for some time. Perhaps due to lack of time or simply because I got caught in many scrapbook projects. I only created simple cards for the classes I give. So I put my hands to work and these are the three images that I have colored with Copic markers until today, the third day of the challenge.

Otro día especial, otra tarjetita especial... Preparé esta tarjeta para una amiguita que quiero mucho, con los stamps de Some Odd Girl y marcadores Copic. Utilicé papeles de la colección DeLovely de Cosmo Cricket, Bazzill y My Mind's Eye.  Las flores son Prima y Recollections. ¡Espero les guste!

Another special celebration, another special card! I designed this birthday card for an amazing friend with Some Odd Girl stamps and Copic Markers. ¡Hola chicas!

¡Espero estés disfrutando del rico calorcito de verano! ¿Lo único malo? El polvito del Sahara que no ha parado de molestarnos. Mi alergia no ha descanzado en estos dias. Pero todo muy bien... esperando mis vacaciones pero mientras tanto trabajando mucho!   Hoy quiero mostrarles esta tarjeta que quizás les paresca familiar. ;-) Tuve la alegria y el honor de que esta tarjetita fuera publicada en la revista puertorriqueña de tarjeteria y manualidades en papel, Papeles y más.  El tema fue Día de Madres y utilicé los stamps de Some Odd Girl y es una tarjeta tipo "easel".  ¡Espero les guste!

I hope you are enjoying the summer heat! The only bad thing for us in Puerto Rico? The Sahara dust that has not stopped covering us!!  My allergy is very active these days. But everything is well...! Can't wait for my vacaction days! But meanwhile just working a lot! Today I want to show this card that might seem familiar for some friends here in PR.. ;-) I had the joy and honor to be published in the Puerto Rican papercrafts magazine "Papeles y más". The theme was Mother's Day and I used Some Odd Girl stamps and is an easel type. I hope you like it!

¡Más tarjetitas de Navidad!

Espero hayan tenido un ¡hermoso día de Navidad!  El mio estuvo espectacular, en familia... disfrutando de primos y primas que hacen meses no veia. Ya saben.. ¡poniendonos al día! Aunque ya pasó el día de navidad aún quiero compartirles las tarjetas que hice. 

La primera es con Edwin de Magnolia. Los papeles y embellishments son de la colección 12 Days of Christmas de My Mind Eyes y cardstock American Crafts.

I hope you had an amazing Christmas Day! Mine was perfect, with my family; enjoying my cousins, who I havent seen in months.. you know, catching up! And even when Chistmas is almost over (here in Puerto Rico is after january 6, 3 Kings day) I still want to share my cards with you!

First one is with Edwin, with papers from the 12 Days of Christmas collection from My Mind Eyes and American Crafts cardstock.

Y esta es la tarjeta que le preparé a Michael y en esta usé una stamp de Some Odd Girl los cuales me ENCANTAN por que sus ojotes son tan grandes como los mios! LOL! Papeles nuevamente de My Mind Eyes, cardstock American Crafts, colección Everybody Loves Christmas de Echo Park y embellishments de Pebbles, inc.

And this one was for Michael and I used a Some Odd Girl stamp which I LOVE! because her eyes are as big as mine! LOL!  Again papers from My Mind Eyes, American Crafts cardstock, Echo Park... Everybody Loves Christmas collection and Pebbles, inc. embbellishments.

En día de tormenta!

Hola! Aquí al fin luego de más de un mes sin actualizar el blog. Todo bien! Solo disfrutando de muchos cambios positivos en mi vida! jeje! Y hoy aquí en casita esperando que mejore el clima ya que Emily anda por estos rumbos dejandonos mucha lluvia. Quiero mostrarles un par de proyectitos que trabajé en las pasadas semanas. La primera es una tarjetita de cumpleaños para una amiguita muy especial. El stamp es de Odd Girl, papeles de la colección Pretty Please de My Mind's Eyes y claro coloreada con mis Copics.

Hello! Here at last after more than a month without updating the blog. Everything is alright! Just enjoying many positive changes in my life! LOL! And today at home waiting for a better weather as Emily its here leaving us plenty of rain. I want to show you a couple of projects I worked on in recent weeks. The first is a birthday card for a very special friend. The stamp is from Odd Girl, papers are from the Pretty Please collection from My Mind's Eyes and I colored it with my Copics.

Además hice estas cajitas como regalitos de cumpleaños. Son de madera decoradas con papeles de las lineas Prima y Webster Pages. Flores son Prima y Recollections. Dentro tienen unos cuadritos de chipboard decorados y con fotos. La idea es colocarlos en el interior como si fuera un marquito y poder girarlos para mostrar las otras fotos.

Also I made these boxes as birthday gifts. They are made of wood (from Michael's) decorated with paper from Webster Pages and Prima Marketing collections. Flowers are from Prima and Recollections. They have a few chipboard squares of chipboard decorated and with photos. The idea is to place them inside like a small frame and they can be rotated to display the other pictures.

Una tarjeta super especial...

Hola! Espero hayas tenido un lindo Día de las Madres y un fin de semana super especial con tu familia y seres queridos. Yo estoy bien.. gracias a Dios! Ocupada en varias cosas, proyectos para el Puerto Rico Scrapbook Event, artes, promociones... en fín muchas cosas por trabajar pero muy animada y con la musa en la casa así que woohoo! ;-)

Quiero mostrarte la tarjeta que le preparé a mi Mamita para el día de las Madres. Siempre le pongo mucho cariño a todo lo que hago pero en esta tarjeta puse tanto amor que ni queria entregarsela! jajaja Bromas! Son de estos proyectos que desde que lo imaginas en tu cabeza hasta que lo llevas al papel todo te sale como quieres o mejor de lo que esperas! Queria algo colorido y queria conseguir un stamp chulisimo que tuviera una nena pues yo soy hija única en el matrimonio de mi padres y siempre he sido la nena de la casa aunque me cueste admitirlo a mis 38. En la escuela siempre me bromeaban por mis ojos grandes... y Mami tambien lo hacia y aún lo hace, por eso queria una imagen con ojos expresivos y queria colorear algo diferente. Consegui esta imagen que inmediatatemente me enamoró en Some Odd Girl. Los colores del vestido los pinté iguales que un modelo que vi en su galeria pues a la verdad me fascinó y los colores iban perfectamente con los papeles! Lo único diferente es el color del pelo, ojos y zapatos. Los papeles son de la colección DeLovely de Cosmo Cricket, Bo Bunny, My Mind's Eye y rubons de Melissa Frances

Hello! I hope you had a nice Mother's Day and a very special weekend with your family and loved ones. I'm fine! Busy on several things, projects for the Puerto Rico Scrapbook Event, arts, promotions... Many things to work but very upbeat and with the muse in the house so woohoo! ;-)

I want to show you the card I designed for my Mom for Mother's Day. I always put a lot of care to every project I do but I put so much love in this card! I love the results... I didn't want to give it to her! LOL!! jokes! This card was one of those projects that you keep designing in your head, and when you put on paper everything goes as you want or better than you expect! I wanted something colorful and wanted to get an image that had a little girl because I'm an only child in of my parents marriage and I have always been the baby of the house even though I have trouble admitting it at my 38. LOL! Kids always teased me about my big eyes at school... So did Mom and still does, so I wanted a picture with expressive eyes and I wanted to color something different so I spend a couple days looking for a special image. I got this image that I fell in love with inmediately at Some Odd Girl. I painted the dress the same way as a model I saw in their gallery because It was perfect with the color combination of the papers! The only thing different is the hair color, eyes and shoes. Papares are from DeLovely collection from Cosmo Cricket, Bo Bunny, My Mind's Eye and Melissa Frances rubons.

Así abre la tarjeta.. es como un trifold pero la portada abre hacia arriba y donde está la imagen abre hacia el lado y luego se encuentra el mensaje.

This is how the card opens. Looks like a trifold card but the cover opens up, then the part where the image is opens to the side and then you see the message.
