¡Al fin viernes! • Friday finally!

¡Holaa! Ya lista para el fin de semana y descansar un poco. No sin antes dejarles por aquí el reto para el día #4 del "Coloring Challenge" de Some Odd Girl en facebook. Hice esta tarjetita sencilla con la imagén de Kaylee coloreada nuevamente con marcadores Copic. Además le comparto otra tarjetita que habia hecho algún tiempo y habia olvidado compartir. ¡Espero les guste y buen fin de semana!!

Hello! I'm ready for the weekend and to rest a little.  I just wanted to share the card I made for the day # 4 of the "Coloring Challenge" of the Some Odd Girl facebook page. I made this simple card with the image of Kaylee colored again with Copic markers. I just love her!!! As you may notice I LOVE fantasy characters!  I'm also sharing another card that I had done some time ago and had forgotten to share. I hope you like them!! Enjoy your weekend!!

¡Extrañe mis marcadores! • Missed my markers!

El martes tuve el día libre... y mientras navegaba por facebook encontré un reto de una de las compañias que adoro por sus sellos hermosos, Some Odd Girl. El reto para colorear imágenes comenzaba ese mismo día así que dije... ¡es tiempo de volver a colorear! Habia abandonado la tarjeteria desde hace algún tiempo. Quizás por falta de tiempo o sencillamente por que me entretuve más en proyectos de scrapbook. Solo llegué a crear tarjetas sencillas para las clases. Así que puse manos a la obra y estas son las tres imágenes que he coloreado con marcadores Copic hasta hoy, tercer día del reto.

Last tuesday I had the day off... and while checking on facebook I found a challenge from one of the companies that I love for its beautiful stamps, Some Odd Girl. The coloring challenge started that same day so I thought... it's time to go back to coloring! I had abandoned cardmaking for some time. Perhaps due to lack of time or simply because I got caught in many scrapbook projects. I only created simple cards for the classes I give. So I put my hands to work and these are the three images that I have colored with Copic markers until today, the third day of the challenge.

Últimos proyectos • Recent projects

¡Lo sé, lo sé! He estado perdida nuevamente. ¡Aunque no he dejado de crear!

Muchas cosas han sucedido desde mi último post siendo la llegada del huracán María la más dificil de todas. Largos meses sin electricidad, sin comunicación ni internet... (y aún no tenemos internet en la casa) destrucción, desolación y sobre todo, mucho crecimiento y aprendizaje. Pero siempre agradeciendo que a pesar de todo estamos bien y que ya la isla está casi recuperada de esa horrible pesadilla.

En esos meses pude reorganizar mi cuarto de manualidades y sacar muchos proyectos que tenia atrasados, sin terminar o sencillamente guardados llenos de polvo. Logré terminar alrededor de 15 proyectos y crear 2 nuevos. Igualmente no dejé de dar clases y a la verdad que agradesco la bendición de poder dar clases en algo que me apasiona tanto. Por que me permite liberar tensiones y frustraciones através del papel...

Voy a mostrarles algunos de esos proyectos que pude hacer y espero que les gusten.

Este mini álbum lo diseñé para celebrar el cumpleaños de dos amiguitas que quiero con todo mi corazón. Su base es completamente hecha desde 0 en chipboard negro. Utilicé la colección Summer Fun de Echo Park y tiene bolsillos, "flip pages", tags y más. ¡Fue sumamente divertido diseñarlo!

I know, I know! I've been missing in action again. Although I have not stopped creating! 

Many things have happened since my last post being the arrival of hurricane Maria the hardest of all. Long months without electricity, without communication or internet... (and we still don't have internet at home) destruction, desolation and above all, a lot of growth and learning. But always grateful that in spite of everything we are well and that the island is almost recovered from that horrible nightmare. 

In those months I was able to reorganize my craft room and take out many projects that were overdue, unfinished or simply kept full of dust. I managed to finish around 15 projects and create 2 new ones. I also did not stop teaching and I really appreciate the blessing of being able to teach in something that I love so much. Because it allows me to release tensions and frustrations through paper crafting... 

I'm going to show you some of those projects that I could do and I hope you like them. 

I designed this mini album to celebrate the birthday of two little friends that I love with all my heart. Its base is completely made from scratch on black chipboard. I used Echo Park's Summer Fun collection and it has pockets, flip pages, tags and more. It was extremely fun to design!

 Estas dos páginas con motivo de valentines fueron diseñadas con la colección Romance de Simple Stories. ¡Hermosa como todas sus colecciones!

Proyectos para Bebé

¡Hola nuevamente!! Quiero compartir con ustedes mis más recientes proyectos para una clase en Scrapbook Gallery de San Juan. Es un "open shadowbox" y una cajita decorada con tags en su interior.  El "shadowbox" está creado con chipboard (cartón duro) y ambos están decorados con la colección "Heaven Sent" de Prima Marketing. ¡Esta es una de las colecciones más hermosas que he podido trabajar! Todos los elementos son ¡bellos! ...desde las flores, los papeles, los animalitos y los colores.  La modelo es la bebé de mi sobrina. ¡Espero les gusten ambos proyectos!


Hello again!! I want to share with you my latest project for a class at Scrapbook Gallery San Juan , one of out local stores. It is an "open shadowbox"(no glass) and a decorated box with tags inside. The "shadowbox" is created with chipboard and both are decorated with the "Heaven Sent" collection from Prima Marketing. This is one of the most beautiful collections I've worked with! I LOVE IT! All elements are beautiful! ... from the flowers, papers, baby animals, colors... everything!! The baby model is the  my niece's first born Jixelly.  I hope you liked them!!

¡Maleta llena de recuerdos!

¡Espero se encuentren bien! Hoy quiero compartirles este proyecto que diseñé para la tienda Scrapbook Gallery aquí en Puerto Rico. Es una maleta mini album para fotos de viaje y está hecha completamente a mano. La medida es 6" de ancho por 9" de largo y 2 1/2" de profundidad. Los papeles y decoraciones son de la colección "Cityscapes" de Graphic45. Utilicé "chipboard"negro que vá muy bien con la colección. La cerradura es de metal y es súper económica. El mango es de las que se usan en gabinetes de cocina y puedes conseguir en cualquier ferreteria.

Hello!! I hope you are doing good! Today I want to share this project. It's a travel suitcase mini album that I designed for the Scrapbook Gallery store, here in Puerto Rico. It's made from scratch. The measure is 6" wide by 9" long and 2 1/2" deep. The papers and embellishments are from the collection Cityscapes from Graphic45. It's made with black chipboard because it works very well with that collection. The lock is a cheap metal one and the handle is one of those you get a hardware store for kitchen cabinets.

 

En el interior hay 10 páginas estilo "gatefold".  Un "binder" a cada lado que al cerrar se encuentran en el centro. En cada lado coloqué 5 páginas en cardstock negro para un total de 10. Las páginas tienen bolsillos con tags, inserts y fotos. Decoré con chipboards de la colección y elementos tales como sellos, tabs y die cuts.

There are 10 pages inside, designed in a gatefold style.  I placed a binder on each side that holds 5 black cardstock pages for a total of 10 pages, that meet in the center when it's closed. Some pages have pockets with inserts, tags and photos.  I used chipboards, tags and elements from the collection as postal stamps, labels and diecuts.

Fué un proyecto muy divertido de diseñar y me gustó mucho el resultado final. Le agradesco mucho a mi amiga Edna Bosch for facilitarme las fotos de su viaje a Europa. ¡Espero les guste!
