¡Ya estoy mejor!

Gracias a Dios, al medicamento que tomé y que dormí más de 10 horas ... jeje estoy recuperada. Y se nota pues me desperté con ganas de crear. Hace unas semanas estaba pensando esta página dedicada a mi querida amiga Yolanda. Ella estuvo en PR en el mes de marzo pues su Mamá falleció. Fué una pena verla en esas circunstancias pero al menos pude ver a sus tres niños que han crecido muchisimo!! Además vi a su esposo, sus hermanas y sobrinos quienes fueron parte de mi niñez y los recuerdo con cariño. De eso trata la página... Cuando vi lo mucho que habian crecido sus chicos, ¡me emocioné mucho! Y no dejaba de mirarlos y decirle "están hermosos" o "se parecen tanto a tí".

Utilicé papeles, letras de stickers y die cuts de Pink Paislee una linea que me encanta. La flor en fieltro y el pajarito son de American Crafts, los rubons son Karen Foster y los stickers de frases son Making Memories.

I'm feeling better!

Thank God I feel better! And thanks to the medicine and that I slept more than 10 hours... hehe I'm recovered. And it shows because I woke up wanting to create. A few weeks ago I was thinking about this page which I dedicated to my dear friend Yolanda. She was in PR in march because her mom died. It was sad to see her in these circumstances but at least I could see her three children who have grown a lot! In addition saw her husband, her sisters and nephews who were part of my childhood too and I remember with affection. This is what the page is about ... When I saw how much her kids had grown, I got emotional. I coudn't stop looking at them and saying to her "they are beautiful" and "they look just like you". Papers, letter stickers and die cuts are from Pink Paislee. I love this line! The felt flower and bird are form American Crafts, rubons are from Karen Foster, sticker phrases are from Making Memories.

¡Ya me agarró el catarro!!

¡Increible! Esta es la tercera vez que me enfermo con gripe en menos de un año. Aquí estoy con la nariz roja como un tomate y la garganta irritada. Tendré que tomar mucha vitamina C para atacarlo enseguidita! Espero que no me dé tan fuerte como la vez pasada... fue horrible!! Al menos pude hacer esta divertida tarjetita en la mañana. Me encantan estos sellitos cómicos...!

This is incredible! I'm sick with the flu for the third time in less than a year. Here I am with the my nose red as a tomato and sore throat. I will have to take a lot of vitamin C to attack it fast! I hope it doesn't get as bad at the last time.. it was awful! At least I did this fun cards in the morning. I love these funny stamps..!

¡¡Calor dominguero!!

¡Ya se siente que el verano llegó! ¡El calor afuera está insoportable... está a 90°! El día está hermoso, perfecto para andar paseando o en la playa pero con el alto costo de la gasolina hay que pensarlo dos veces. Aunque gracias a Dios nuestra isla es pequeña y la playa más cercana nos queda a 20 o 25 minutos.. relativamente cerca. Ya planificaré para darme un paseito dominguero.. por lo pronto he estado trabajando algunas cositas. Este proyecto es un canvas alterado para un intercambio. Quise darle un toque interesante y le añadí un panelito decorado y listo para dos fotos adicionales y unos monogramas colgantes con elementos en chipboard. Utilicé una combinación de colores que me encanta. Los papeles son de My Minds Eyes, rubons Spanish Memories, las letras en chipboard son Heidi Swap, cardstock Bazzill, corazoncitos y estrellas con brillo son de Making Memories y los stickes de letras son Doodlebug. Me encanta el resultado!! Espero que a mi amiguita le guste pues lo hice con mucho amor.

Hot sunday!

Summer is here! The heat is unbearable... 90° outside! The day is beautiful, perfect for strolling or walking on the beach but with the high cost of gasoline...umm must think twice. Thank God our island is small and the closest beach is 20 or 25 minutes... relatively close. I'll plan a small trip any Sunday.. for now I've been working some projects. This project is an altered canvas for a swap. I wanted to give an interesting touch and add a decorated chipboard piece, ready for two additional photos and hanging monograms with more chipboard elements. I love the color combination. The papers are from My Minds Eyes, rubons from Spanish Memories, chipboard letters from Heidi Swap, Bazzill cardstock, chipboard hearts and stars are from Making Memories and sticker letters are from Doodlebug. I love the result! I hope that my friend like it too because I did with love!!

Un poquito sobre Spanish Memories

Spanish Memories es una compañia totalmente "boricua"... 100% puertorriqueña. Su presidenta, Omayra Ortiz junto a su esposo Nelson, producen productos de "scrapbooking" totalmente en español. Creados pensando en nosotros los hispanos, por hispanos. Spanish Memories comenzó en febrero 2005 con 8 hermosas colecciones. Actualmente cuenta con 24 colecciones de papeles y sus stickers, que van desde bebe, cumpleaños, boda, vacaciones, bautismo y amistad.. hasta papeles representativos de Méjico y Puerto Rico, entre otros. Tambien cuentan con chipboards, rubons y los primeros clear stamps en español los cuales fueron lanzados al mercado en febrero 2007 y que han sido todo un éxito! Tambien forman parte de SM el talentosisimo diseñador gráfico Josué Torres y Sandra Figueroa, representante SM en Puerto Rico.

Tengo el honor y la bendición de formar parte de su Equipo de Diseño desde el 2006 y además diseño algunos productos. Con SM he crecido como artista, "scrapbooker" y como ser humano, pues he conocido gente super especial y linda! Definitivamente ha sido una experiencia maravillosa poder colaborar con mi creatividad en una compañia en la quecreo 100%! ¡Es un honor formar parte de Spanish Memories! Talvez conoscas alguna de las colecciones que he tenido la alegría de diseñar... Instantes, Niña, Niño,Mamá,Papá,Bautismo y Primera Comunión.

Parte del Equipo de Diseño lo son mis compañeras "blogueras" Jessica, Nilsa, Sheila, además de Sylvia Rosa y Aida Franquiz.

A bit of Spanish Memories

Spanish Memories is a 100% Puerto Rican company. Omayra Ortiz is the president and with her husband Nelson, they produce scrapbooking products entirely in Spanish. They were created for us Hispanics, from Hispanics. Spanish Memories began in February 2005 with 8 beautiful collections. Currently it has 24 paper collections and stickers, ranging from baby, birthdays, weddings, holidays, baptism and friendship... to collections representing Mexico and Puerto Rico, among others. They also have chipboards, rubons and the first clear stamps in spanish which were launched into market in February 2007 and have been a great success! Also part of SM is the talented graphic designer Josué Torres and Sandra Figueroa, SM representative in Puerto Rico.

I am honoured and blessed to be part of its Design Team since 2006 and also to design some products. With SM I have grown as an artist, as a scrapbooker and as a human being, because I knew very special and amazing people! Definitely has been a wonderful experience working in a company in which I believe 100%! It's an honor to be part of Spanish Memories! Maybe you are familiar with any of the collections I've had the joy of design ... Instantes, Girls, Boys, Mom, Dad, Baptism and First Communion.

¡Recuperada!

Ya estoy recuperada del stress de las pasadas semanas! Tuve un fin de semana espectácular! La actividad de Memory Box, tienda local, estuvo genial y las clases de las chicas de Bazzill estuvieron sencillamente geniales. Preparamos un album y su cajita, tamaño 8x8 con varias paginas y además hicimos 4 layouts y dos tarjetas entre sábado y domingo. Gané varias cositas y los "make & takes" estuvieron bellos. Pero lo mejor de todo indiscutiblemente fue compartir con amigas que quiero tanto. Nos reimos de todo, tomamos fotos de todo y la pasamos increible. El sábado compartí con Emmaly, Daly, Frances y Magaly y hoy domingo nuevamente con Emmaly, Daly y Yarimar. Joey y Tina, fueron las encargadas de los talleres. Ambas son super simpáticas y atentas y se portaron de maravillas. Estaban encantadas con Puerto Rico...!

Recovered!

I'm already recovered from the stress of the past few weeks! I had a spectacular weekend! The activity of Memory Box, a local store, was brilliant and the classes from Bazzill were simply great. We prepared an 8x8 album with its box, and several pages and we also did four layouts and two cards between Saturday and Sunday. I won several things and the make & takes were awesome. But best of all, undoubtedly was sharing with friends that I love. We laughed, we took pictures of every silly moment and had an incredible time. On Saturday I shared with Emmaly, Daly, Frances and Magaly And today with Emmaly and Daly again and Yarimar. Joey and Tina, gave us the workshops. Both are super nice, attentive and they treated all of us son nicely. They were delighted with Puerto Rico ...!

No quise dejar pasar la oportunidad de crear algo bonito y agradar a Joey y Tina de la misma manera que ellas lo hicieron con nosotras, además de agradecerles por las clases y por ser tan simpáticas. Así que conseguí un hermosos papel de My Mind Eyes, cintita, un rubon, uno que otro scrap y le hice esta tarjetita de agradecimiento.

I did not want to miss an opportunity to create something nice and pleasing Joey and Tina in the same way they did it with us, as well as thank them for the classes and for being so nice. So I chose a beautiful paper from My Mind Eyes, ribbon, a rubon, a couple of scraps and did this thank-you card.
